The Foundations Fund has been established because the camp leadership recognizes the need to keep our facilities and grounds in the best shape possible and to present our camp in an appealing yet professional manner that tells visitors that we take pride in what the Lord has given us to work with.

The camp has grown from being just a summer camp for kids to a year-round camp that has more adults attending a variety of retreats and camps than we have youth attending summer camp.  We now have 8 weeks of summer youth camp, weekend youth retreats, and science & nature camps for public, charter, home schools, and just about 40 weekends a year for adult programs.  Our focus here at camp is in the process of changing as we need to understand and realize that adults tend to view our camp in a more realistic and often critical view of what we have to offer in the way of our facilities.

What this fund will do is provide the money for a variety of needs both current and future as the camp continues to grow with larger groups attending the camp.  This fund will also eventually free up money that is currently being budgeted from our yearly income and that will enable us to better use and direct our yearly income into other areas of need.

Listed below are a variety of current and future planned uses for the Foundations Fund:

Current Needs

Upgrading of our two older bunkhouses with ceramic tile through the bathrooms and living areas for cleanliness

Building and installing wooden bunkbeds and steps that are designed for adults to use with ease

Installing ceramic tile in the entry area and bathrooms in the chapel (completed 2010), still need new carpeting

Purchase at least 80 more chairs for the chapel for seating

Upgrades in the kitchen with commercial grade vinyl tile and newer kitchen equipment

Upgrades to the swimming pool areas for safety and cleanliness

Future Needs (3 - 5 years or more)
